NFT is seeking a full time SharePoint Developer/Analyst to support an enterprise that relies on SharePoint for both internal activities and customer-facing information. The SharePoint Developer/Analyst will be responsible for performing SharePoint day-to-day activities, including systems design, development, end user support, process modeling, enhancements, change management, and educating the enterprise on SharePoint best practices.
Key Job Functions
Design, develop, and maintain custom sites, applications, and workflows built on Microsoft SharePoint to support and streamline business processes.
- Assists with development and configuration of SharePoint document libraries, enterprise lists and site collections.
- SharePoint site standardization via site and content templates, metadata tagging, workflows, and reporting.
- Provide SharePoint architecture, development, and administration support to the organization.
- Create training materials and educate users on SharePoint best practices.
- Maintain and refine permissions and SharePoint groups.
- Maintain, modify, and improve on the look and feel and general SharePoint user experience.
- Review content and recommend updates, find broken links, and delete or archive outdated information.
- Set up and manipulate web parts, maintain and modify master pages, and connect to various data sources for dynamic display of information.
- Maintain multiple SharePoint sites based on high level goals, acting proactively, and with minimal day-to-day guidance.
- Ensure consistency in the front-to-back adoption and implementation of policies, standards, and processes on data, records, and content in support of SharePoint governance.
- Enforce data, records, and content policies and standards for SharePoint governance functions.
Specialized Knowledge & Skills
The successful candidate will need to possess the following relevant business background, technical expertise, academic training and personal attributes:
- At least 3 years of demonstrated on-the-job SharePoint development and/or administration experience.
- At least 5 years of demonstrated on-the-job web development experience using at a minimum HTML and CSS.
- Demonstrated on-the-job experience using SharePoint Designer to include workflow development, page management, and page design.
- Demonstrated on-the-job experience in updating and editing SharePoint Master Pages and style sheets.
- Demonstrated on-the-job experience with branding a SharePoint site.
- Demonstrated on-the-job experience troubleshooting user reported issues while maintaining a customer friendly attitude.
- Demonstrated on-the-job experience integrating Microsoft Access and/or Excel with SharePoint list data.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio), Microsoft SharePoint 2013/ O365, InfoPath, Workflow
- Technical proficiency in SharePoint 2016.
- Ability to effectively interface with cross-functional teams at varying levels to drive/ lead and communicate SharePoint governance standards and processes and resolve issues.
- Ability to develop alliances throughout the company to mature SharePoint governance capabilities.
- Extensive knowledge of the data, records, and content lifecycles.
- Advanced level of SharePoint Architecture knowledge – content database structure, web application configuration, service application configuration, etc.
- Knowledge of business process and requirements management.
- Minimum bachelor degree preferably in Computer Science or Information Systems. Will consider related field (or equivalent) experience.
- Industry or SharePoint Certifications a plus
- Experience with XML, JavaScript, and/or graphics development common to web development (e.g., buttons, icons) is a plus.
